Florida Marineros
This project came to life to represent who I am as a Cuban-American woman and how I came to be the person I am now. I used baseball as my overarching theme due to it being a huge part of my family history, which includes my dad being a life-long baseball player. Florida Marineros is an imaginery baseball team created to celebrate members of my family and their journey to the United States and the impact that they have represented to me. Through the use of iconic baseball items and symbols that remind others of the long-standing history nested in the sport I showcased the significance of the sport to my family and how it has all come full circle.
